Clickbank is the oldest affiliate network. It is different from most, in that it’s merchants are only e-books, software, and other digital download products. They have about 100,000 products you can prommote.

Approval into the network is instant, there is no verification process. All affiliates are paid on a % per sale. You can start promoting any product in the marketplace instantly. Clickbank.com doesn’t disclose to affiliates important information, such as auto-deposit or program uptime history, like shareasale network does. They do tell publicly the product popularity and a proprietary measure they call gravity, but those don’t tell you how well a affiliate converts (like EPC - Earnings per click does). They also have no 2nd tier affiliate programs in the marketplace or even datafeeds.

They charge a 1 dollar a month fee for balances above 10 dollars. Their minimimum payout is 10 dollars, but only if you have received previous sales from 5 different credit card numbers including a visa and mastercard. This means it could take months and many months of surcharges before you could be eligible for payout. Payments are done by Check only and social security number is required for U.S citizens before payment. Clickbank is one of my least favorite affiliate programs because of the little information they disclose publicly to affiliates and because of their payout structure. However, there are many good high paying commission e-book and digital products you can only find at Clickbank.
